Crane Scales 5 ton
Crane scales are devices that are frequently used as a means to measure the amount of force, or weight, that is being applied to a load bearing structure such as a crane or hoist. If you find yourself in need of such a device to streamline manufacturing, reduce processing time in receiving shipments, quickly measure any load, or provide overload monitoring, then Eilon Engineering has the perfect product for you. If you are in need of a high-quality, heavy-duty crane scale then look no further than Eilon Engineering.
Eilon Engineering offers a complete arsenal of industrial crane scales that have been proven over the last 46 years to be reliable, accurate, and simple to use. Whether you are looking for a 5-ton crane scale or one that can measure 1000 pounds, Eilon offers a fatigue-rated solution that can accurately provide weight measurement data for years and years to come. Providing these high-quality products to our array of major customers, has helped establish Eilon Engineering as a premier crane scale manufacturer.
Eilon Engineering Ron Crane Scale Products
Depending on your project's specific needs, Eilon Engineering can help you find the right overhead crane scale to accommodate. If you need help dialing in the specifics for your project, don’t hesitate to call one of our specialists at Eilon Engineering to make sure you get paired up with the crane scale that checks all the boxes. While we have our general product line, each product comes with dozens of customizable options to allow you to make your project successful.
The Ron 2501H and the Ron 2000H are the two simplest and also most cost-effective crane scales. These are a wireless crane scale, and a wired crane scale, respectively. These both communicate seamlessly with a small handheld display. The Ron 2125H and Ron 2150H then offer a backlit LCD display on top of the previously mentioned functionality. Lastly, the Ron 3025 and Ron 3050 offer LCD displays enclosed in a protective cage. This way you don’t have to worry about any damage to your crane scale taking place.
Crane scales operate using load cells. Load cells are a type of transducer. Transducers are simply devices that convert physical phenomena (such as force, pressure, temperature, etc.) into an electrical signal. Specifically load cells can measure forces from things such as tension, compression, or torque. These will output an electrical signal that you can easily measure and use to determine the force being applied.
To make this load cell into a crane scale, it is wrapped into a housing that allows it to easily be connected between a structure and a load. From there, all sorts of different technologies can be applied to make the crane scale more user friendly. This allows for things like Bluetooth crane scales that you can easily communicate with over short distances and various analog outputs that you can easily tie into a PLC system.
So, what about Eilon Engineering sets them apart from their competitors? There are a lot of different factors that go into a great crane scale. Some of the biggest benefits that Eilon offers are as follows:
- Fatigue Rated Load Cells. These are rated to work practically forever as long as their rated loads are never exceeded.
- Fully Wireless Electronic Crane Scales. These can transmit the measurement data to a nearby receiver.
- High Accuracy (0.1% of full scale)
- Industry Leading 5-year warranty
- IP67 rating as standard on all wireless load cells.
- Exceptional Battery Life.
- Bundles of options. These include local and remote displays, data loggers of different varieties, RS-232 communications, analog outputs, and various load ratings.
- Multi-point measurement system compatible. These crane scales can be tied together very easily to be monitored in conjunction with all of the rest of your hanging crane scales.
If you have any questions about what any of these things are and what is necessary for your own project, don’t hesitate to contact us at Eilon Engineering. We would love to help you develop your own perfect crane weigher system.
A 5-ton crane scale is excellent at weighing heavy loads. While this is great for weighing loads that are pretty heavy, it isn’t great for weighing small loads. For example, if you have an object that weighs 30 lbs and you try to weigh it with that 5-ton crane scale, you wouldn’t get very good results. This is largely due to the accuracy that the crane scale can provide.
For example, if you had a 10,000 lb crane scale with 0.1% accuracy, your measurements would be accurate to plus or minus 10 lbs. As long as you are fine with being about that close, then that will work for your application. Although, if you require accuracy within a pound or so, then you won’t get that with a very large scale. That is why choosing the appropriate load rating is crucial to good measurements. You want something that can measure as high as you need.
