Digital Crane Scales

So, if you were to purchase an industrial crane scale, how can you pull the measured weight and load data off of it? There are several different methods offered by Eilon Engineering. The first method is a digital communication protocol. Common industry standards for these types of protocols are RS-232, RS-485. These allow you to communicate directly with the device in order to get measurement data. Analog outputs are also very common and simple to use as they just output a voltage or current proportional to the load measured.
Lastly, for wireless crane scales, Bluetooth and RF communication are available. Bluetooth crane scales allow you to simply and easily access measurement data from any Bluetooth compatible device. This is all done entirely wirelessly. RF is similar in that it is wireless, but it is also more specialized equipment to receive the measurement data. The upside to RF communications is that they can cover extremely long distances.

If you are in the process of setting up multiple hanging crane scales at your facility, you may be interested in being able to monitor all of these crane scales from a single location. This could be a single fixed location or from many different locations that could move around from time to time.
